Botsburg Privacy Policy

Botsburg Inc. · Last updated August 20, 2026 · Applies to the Botsburg desktop app and the "Botsburg for Gmail" Chrome extension.

What Botsburg is

Botsburg runs business operations through AI employees. The desktop app connects to your own mailbox with your permission; the Chrome extension adds read receipts to email you send from Gmail.

What the Chrome extension collects

When you send an email from Gmail while signed in to the extension, Botsburg stores the recipient address, the subject line, and the time it was sent. When the recipient opens the email, Botsburg records the time of the open, and technical details their mail service exposes (such as an IP address, which many providers deliberately hide behind a proxy). That is the entire list.

What Botsburg never collects

Botsburg never stores the body of your email — not in the extension, not in the app, not on our servers. Our AI service forwards text for processing and forgets it; what is written down is only the shape of the call (token counts and cost), never the content. The extension does not read your inbox, your contacts, or any email you receive.

Who can see your data

Only you. Send and open records are locked to your own account with row-level security; no other customer, and no Botsburg staff tool, can query them. We do not sell data, share it with advertisers, or use it for anything other than showing you your own receipts.

The 24/7 cloud (optional)

If you explicitly turn on Cloud Autopilot in the desktop app, your Google connection is stored encrypted on our servers so filing can continue while your computer is off. It can never be read back out by any client, and turning the feature off deletes it immediately. This is off by default and never required.

Deleting your data

Signing out of the extension stops all tracking. To delete stored receipts or your account entirely, email privacy@botsburg.com and it is done within 30 days.
